Formatic Terms of Use and End User License Agreement

Effective Date: September 16, 2026

Please read these Terms before using the Service. By accepting these Terms or using the Service after being given reasonable notice of them, you agree to them to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you act on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization, and references to "you" include it where applicable.

1. Use of the App

A. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use Formatic. You must not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law.

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your account and connected services, and using only accounts and forms you are authorized to access. Tell us promptly if you become aware of unauthorized use. Your responsibility for activity under your account is subject to applicable law and does not excuse security failures for which we are responsible.

Certain features require a Google account and specific permissions. You may grant or revoke those permissions through Google. Without the necessary permission, the related feature may not work. You must not provide us with your Google password or another person's credentials.

B. The Service and Third-Party Dependencies

Formatic helps you create, edit, manage, share, or view Google Forms and their responses through the features available in your version and plan.

Optional features may include templates, imports, exports, notifications, or analysis only where expressly offered. A feature mentioned in a roadmap, research document, or proposal is not a promise that it is included in your purchase. The app and purchase screen describe the available features, limits, supported formats, and applicable price.

Google Forms, Google Drive, the App Store, and other connected services are supplied by their respective providers. Their access rules, quotas, outages, and technical changes may affect Formatic. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using those services. Formatic is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google or Apple.

You need a compatible device, supported software, and any required internet connection. Current compatibility requirements are stated in the app listing. Network and mobile carrier charges are your responsibility.

C. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms and applicable App Store Usage Rules, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded products you own or control. The app may also be accessed and used by other accounts associated with the purchaser through Family Sharing or volume purchasing where permitted by the applicable Usage Rules.

You may use the Service for lawful personal, educational, and internal business purposes within your plan. This permission does not allow you to resell the app, distribute unauthorized copies, or provide access as a competing hosted service.

2. Apple App Store Terms

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Terms of Service, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's Terms of Service, Apple's Terms of Service shall govern solely with respect to Apple's role as distributor of the App. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.

3. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

A. Purchases and Subscriptions

Some features may be free; others require a subscription or purchase. Before purchase, the purchase screen states the price, billing period, included features, any usage allowance, and any trial or promotional conditions. Prices and taxes may vary by country and currency. We do not promise a particular price or trial unless it is shown in the applicable offer.

B. Payment and Renewal

Apple charges your Apple Account according to the terms shown at purchase. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless canceled before the applicable renewal deadline. Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. To avoid an unwanted renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, subject to Apple's applicable rules and any mandatory local rights.

C. Free Trials

If offered and you are eligible, a trial converts to a paid subscription at the price and interval disclosed before enrollment unless canceled in time. To avoid the first charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused trial portion may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription where Apple's rules provide. Access after cancellation of a free or discounted trial depends on the offer and Apple's rules and may end immediately.

D. Managing and Canceling

You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation prevents future renewal; access to a paid period generally continues until that period ends, unless a refund or applicable rule changes that result. Deleting Formatic, deleting a Formatic account, or disconnecting Google does not cancel your Apple subscription. Instructions: Apple subscription cancellation instructions

E. Refunds

App Store refund requests are handled through Apple's refund process, subject to Apple's rules and applicable law: Request a refund from Apple

These Terms do not remove statutory cancellation, refund, or other consumer rights. We do not guarantee Apple's decision or impose a blanket no-refund rule. Contact us about technical or entitlement issues even if Apple processes the payment.

F. Restoring Purchases

Restore eligible purchases made with the relevant Apple Account. Purchase sharing and availability are subject to the product type and Apple's rules.

G. Changes

Future price or subscription changes will be disclosed as required by Apple and applicable law, including notice or consent where required. Material reductions to prepaid benefits will be handled consistently with your contractual and statutory rights.

4. User Content

"Your Content" means forms, questions, responses, files, images, and other material you submit, connect, or process through the Service. As between you and Formatic, you retain the rights you hold in Your Content. Information belonging to respondents or other third parties remains subject to their rights.

You grant us a non-exclusive license to access, host, reproduce, transmit, and technically adapt Your Content only as necessary to provide and maintain the Service you request, act on your sharing instructions, keep the Service secure, and meet legal obligations. Providers may exercise these rights only as needed to perform the relevant services under appropriate restrictions. This license does not grant a right to use Your Content for advertising or generalized AI model training. It ends when processing is no longer needed, subject to the limited retention explained in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having the rights, permissions, notices, and lawful basis needed to collect and process Your Content, including information about form respondents. Where you act as a controller, you determine the purposes of collection, provide appropriate privacy information, address respondents' requests, and obtain any required consent. These obligations do not remove our own responsibilities under applicable law.

You choose whom to share forms and responses with. Check access permissions and exported files before sharing. We cannot recall copies lawfully downloaded by other recipients. Maintain any copies you need; Formatic is not a guaranteed archive or backup service. This does not limit our obligations to safeguard information we process.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:
  • use the Service for fraud, phishing, unlawful surveillance, harassment, exploitation, or other unlawful activity;
  • collect, disclose, or process personal information without the required authority or lawful basis;
  • upload malware or content that unlawfully infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • access another user's data, bypass permissions or payment controls, or misuse credentials;
  • overload, disrupt, probe, or compromise the Service without authorization, except where applicable law protects your activity;
  • extract or redistribute the app, resell access, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law or an applicable license permits; or
  • evade disclosed usage limits, create fraudulent purchases, or use the Service to violate applicable Google or Apple rules.

Legitimate sharing and export of Your Content through supported features are permitted. We may investigate credible misuse and take proportionate measures under Section 9.

6. Intellectual Property

The app, its software, interface, branding, and materials we provide are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, these Terms do not transfer ownership of those materials to you. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their applicable licenses; nothing here restricts rights those licenses or mandatory law grant you.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties only to the extent they may lawfully be excluded. We do not guarantee that all errors will be prevented or that third-party services will always be accurate or available.

8. Service Changes and Availability

We work to provide a reliable Service but do not promise uninterrupted access, instant notifications, or compatibility with every device or future third-party change. We may perform maintenance and make changes needed for security, legal compliance, or service improvement.

Where a change materially and adversely affects your paid access, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practicable and the remedies required by your contract and applicable law. If we discontinue a paid service before the end of a prepaid period, we will provide or facilitate the refund or other remedy required by applicable law and the purchase platform. We do not use this section to eliminate rights you have already paid for without the protection applicable law requires.

9. Termination and Account Deletion

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can request deletion of your Formatic account and information as described in the Privacy Policy. Manage subscriptions separately through Apple.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, a credible security threat, fraud, or a legal requirement. Where practicable, we will give notice, explain the reason, and allow a reasonable opportunity to remedy a remediable issue. Immediate action may be necessary where delay would create harm or violate law.

We may terminate access for a serious or unresolved material breach, or if the Service is discontinued under Section 8. You can contact support to ask us to review an access restriction. We will handle prepaid access and any applicable refunds consistently with the purchase terms and mandatory law.

On termination, your license to use the Service ends. Deletion and limited retention follow the Privacy Policy. Ending Formatic access does not itself delete your Google account or original Google forms. Where practicable and lawful, we will provide a reasonable opportunity to retrieve content stored only in Formatic before permanent deletion.

Provisions intended by their nature to survive, such as accrued payment obligations and ownership, remain effective. Termination does not create a perpetual right for us to use Your Content.

10. Changes to These Terms and General Provisions

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
